Claude Code + Claude

Subscribe to Claude Pro. Go to claude.ai and sign up (or log in). Click your name in the lower-left corner > Upgrade plan > Pro.

Install Claude Code. Paste the block into PowerShell (Windows) or Terminal (Mac).

On Windows:

irm https://claude.ai/install.ps1 | iex

On Mac:

curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash

If the installer prints a command that adds a folder to your PATH, run that command too.

Log in. Open a new terminal window and run claude. Choose Claude account with subscription, log in to your Pro account in the browser window that opens, and click Authorize. Quit with /exit.

Check. Run

claude -p --model sonnet "Reply with only the word hello."

It should print hello. Then go to A First Example.
